Tam Coc – Bich Dong – Thung Nham Full Day TourLocated in Ninh Binh province (100 km Southeast of Hanoi), Tam Coc is one of the most picturesque spots in all of the north. During 41 years, from 968 to 1009, Hoa Lu was the ancient capital of Vietnam. Nearby Tam Coc is often referred to as “Halong Bay on land”. Visitors are conveyed by rowboat along the peaceful Tam Coc stream past green fields and the feet of mountains into the mouths of caves where they encounter new surprises like stalactites and stalagmites that shimmer like gemstones just inches from the water. Bich Dong pagoda is located on Truong Yen mountains, Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. The pagoda was built in the style of “三” which is meaning “three” in the Chinese word. It includes 3 separate pagodas: Bottom pagoda, Middle pagoda, and Top pagoda, leaning on the mountain from the bottom to the top. The pagoda worships Buddha and 3 masters: Chi Kien, Chi The, Chi Tam, who had set up and built Bich Dong Pagoda. The two statues outside are Nam Tao – Bac Dau, who manage birth and death books. There is a big stone stele to remember the name of the contributors to building Bich Dong Pagoda. Thung Nham - a place called Forest in the valley. There is the beautiful roadside scenery on the way. You’ll have lunch at a nice restaurant after boarding a small boat to visit Tam Coc which means literally: “Three Caves”. With Halong type views of majestic limestone cliffs and mysterious yet inviting caves, as well as countryside sights like peaceful streams, rice paddies, and deserted green fields, Tam Coc really has it all. 12.30: Have lunch at the restaurant. 14.00: You take the bike from Tam Coc Port to Bich Dong pagoda, visit and take photos for memory. 16.00: Upon your arrival at Thung Nham, you will surprise with a myriad of flowers blooming from the gates of the Valley. You visit the Bird Valley, will find really amazing how the heart of the city of Hoa Lu Town has 1 so peaceful valley like this, with numerous species of birds: egret, cranes and many more. 18.00: Get-in car to go back to Hanoi. 20.00: Arrive at your hotel in Hanoi.
